Hello and welcome to this week in Art in L.A! Thursday night, I am looking forward to the lecture: "Robert Irwin: Frank Navarro and Ed Schad in Conversation" at Honor Fraser 6:30-8:30pm. Friday night make your way to Human Resources and Francois Ghebaly as they host the premiere of "Whole Halves," a new video by LA-based artists Eve Fowler and Anna Sew Hoy. The program begins at 8pm, featuring a screening of Whole Halves as well as additional video projects created by the artists who assisted in the making of Whole Halves including Math Bass, Mariah Garnett, Pearl C. Hsiung, Dawn Kasper, Visperd Madad-Doust, Lucas Michael, and Marty Windahl. Experimental music ensemble, LA Fog, which provided the soundtrack to Whole Halves, performs live at the premiere event 8-Midnite. This Saturday is free admission to all five museums on the Miracle Mile row--LACMA, Page, Petersen, Architecture + Design, and Craft Folk and Art and N.E.L.A second Saturday is the monthly North East Los Angeles second Saturday night where galleries are open late in the evening. I am really looking forward to Monday June 14th at Highways Performance Space, have not been yet and with the resurgence in performance I cannot think of two topics I enjoy more, humor and performance art COMEDY VS. ART SMACKDOWN 2nd Monday of Every Month, 7:30pm $7 Elisha Shapiro brings you a selection of the strangest, most innovative comedians and performance artists. So get out there check it out and enjoy!
