There is plenty of performance and video to go around this week: Friday and Saturday performances at Showcave with White Car and Tearist should be good; and, this week begins the International Film Festival Downtown.

For more video, I just discovered the video library at the Hammer. You can walk in and watch classic performance artists at your leisure.

Chinatown is busy Saturday night with two promising shows: Skip Arnold, Brian Bess, William E Jones, and Hilja Ke in "The Mystics Circle" curated by Spencer Douglass and Devin Mcnulty at Human Resources, and "Bourgeois Problems" curated by Catherine Taft at Francois Ghebaly Gallery with Nancy Buchanan, Nikhil Murthy, Jeff Ostergren, and Margie Schnibbe.
