Welcome to this week in Art in LA

This weekend is the time to go out and check out the vibrant performance scene of Los Angeles:

Micol Hebron's performance "Walk Across LA" at Jancar Gallery in Chinatown. In August Micol will be moving to Utah, so come celebrate Los Angeles with her by walking the length of Wilshire! because nobody walks in LA, my farewell to this fair city will be to walk it! I will start downtown 7am (exact spot TBA) on Wilshire.

Jeff Cain & Mark Steger, Monique Jenkinson, AB Min "zoom" curated by VOLUME, an afternoon at TAM (Torrance Art Museum), noon-5pm.

and Late Night Art Video on the Loose: Freewaves and 20 Years of Media Art, Saturday, June 26 at LACMA

I am most looking forward to Sunday for John Baldessari's talk on his exhibition "Pure Beauty" at LACMA (2pm).

and the beautifully installed video show "The Mystics Circle" curated by Spencer Douglass and Devin Mcnulty featuring Skip Arnold, Brian Bess, William E Jones, Hilja Ke at Human Resources.
