Weekly Outlook
A busy week at the Hammer: Tomorrow night (Wednesday) the Hammer Museum presents a lecture by Gaetano Pesce (with remarks by Jeffrey Deitch at 8:30 pm). And Thursday, the Hammer courtyard turns electric when "Also I Like to Rock" returns for a series of free concerts featuring some of today's top emerging bands. The concert this week features Admiral Radley + The Happy Hollows. The weekend is filled with film: Friday "Frame Rate Inaugural Event" curated by LAND Shamim Momin at Lindblade Lounge CC. And Saturday night screenings include many amazing video artists in "The Secret (still) Knows" sponsored by Land at LAB. Other notable screenings include "Nine Stories" (UC Irvine Graduate exhibition) at LaxArt, and Aaron Wrinkle's "Las Cienegas Projects And Guests" at Las Cienegas Projects. So get out there, check it out and enjoy! Best Wishes, Alex Staiger Editor's Picks
