Los Angeles
Artcards brings you to art August 10, 2010

Weekly Outlook

This Thursday you might have to choose between two great lectures: either the panel discussion "Rethinking Orientalism" with art historians Linda Nochlin and Mary Roberts and photographer Lalla Essaydi at Getty, or Ed Templeton speaking at Orange County Museum of Art.

This Saturday is the monthly second Saturday Northeast Los Angeles art walk.

Also this Saturday, the benefit at Highways Performance space should be spectacular.

As well as the workshop "WWW | World's Worst Words: Engaging People in Social Change Through Performance w/ Slanguage" led by Karla Diaz from Slanguage asks audiences to engage in examining performance by guiding students to explore negative words in contemporary pop culture at LACE Los Angeles Contemporary Exhibitions http://welcometolace.org/

I highly reccomend this art shopping site at LACE.

Hope to see you out at the shows!
