Summer in LA and a steady flow of art events continues. Tuesday night catch the U.S. premiere screening of "The Limit" by Mexico City-based artist Laureana Toledo at REDCAT. Followed by a post-show discussion and Q&A with the artist and music critic and journalist Josh Kun. Thursday night at the Hammer join Jacob Samuel in an exhibition walkthrough as he discusses the technical aspects of the portfolios on view in the exhibition Outside the Box Edition Jacob Samuel, 1988-2010. Friday night "Second Story" opens at Pepin Moore. And Saturday at LACE, the panel discussion "ASAP DIY LA w/Jen Smith and Mark Allen" sounds fantastic. Join Mark Allen and Jen Smith as they explore DIY culture in Los Angeles along with other special guests. Mark Allen will be speaking about the basics of starting your own (art/music/literature/whatever) space using Machine Project as an example.
