The monthly Downtown Art Walk is going on hiatus until January 2011, at which point it will be reborn as a quarterly, weekend, daytime, gallery-focused event. This Thursday go to Nomadic Nights sponsored by LAND Thursday night at Country Club with Justin Lowe and Jonah Freeman 7pm and at 8pm special performance by neo-psychedelic band Dead Meadow with video accompaniment by Justin Lowe. Jonah Freeman will lecture about the history of The San San International, the mega-convention that overtakes the southern province of The San San metroplex every May, and his experience as a two-year attendee rsvp@nomadicdivision.org, space is limited. Saturday night check out the opening of "The Road to Hell is Paved..." at Las Cienagas Projects, as well as Liz Glynn's performance curated by Erica Redling Gallery -- sounds intriquing and enticing.
