This Saturday explore Chinatown and Boyle Heights:

Between 12-6pm stop by at the Museum of Public Fiction to visit artists in residence at the new California Hotel. Grizzly Grizzly is an artist collective visiting from Philadelphia, PA. Current members are Mike Ellyson, Jacque Liu, Dennis Matthews, Matt Price, Mary Smull, Cindy Stockton-Moore, and Josh Weiss.

Nearby at Workspace, witness five simultaneous performances from Karen Adelman, John Burtle, Alexis Disselkoen, Paul Pescador and Christa von Sydow, in What Have I Done to Deserve This, from 2-6pm. This four hour exhibition tests endurance and also presents a framework for the performers to respond to one another's actions.

Then, in Chinatown there are openings at Human Resources, Young Art and Actual Size. Human Resources and Statler Waldorf Gallery collaboratively present Plain Brown Wrapper, with work by Sophie Lee, Anne McCaddon, Allison Miller and Yunhee Min. Brown paper conceals lunches, breakable objects and subversive imagery. These artists' practices share a seemingly straightforward, humble approach that leads to layered richness upon further looking. Also on view upstairs - Molly Larkey: The Lost Alphabet, Pants That Fit, and Other Implausible Disguises. Molly Larkey is an artist, writer and directer of Statler Waldorf Gallery in Echo Park.

Hope to see you there.
