Would you like to go to a museum party? This Thursday attend MOCA's Engagement Party to experience the second installment of Liz Glynn's series entitled, Loving You Is Like Fucking the Dead. Glynn will lead a sightless tour of the galleries for a blindfolded audience. Museum staff will help to guide visitors, while also contributing to the tour experience by reading poetry aloud and inviting guests to interact with the space in different ways. Or, the brave may travel all the way to the Museum of Contemporary Art San Diego for an evening reception for Phenomenal: California Light, Space, Surface, an extensive exhibition in connection with Pacific Standard Time. Enjoy music by Hyena and Lesands, and an immersive light installation by Ela Boyd. On Friday, a few dynamic group shows open. An exhibition of young French artists at Jaus explores methods of recording history. Time and Material is an existential exhibition at M+B Gallery, featuring work by Sam Falls, Jacob Kassay, N. Dash, Kyle Thurman and Joe Zorilla. For more notable exhibitions, see the full listings below. New on Artcards Review: - "Fran Herndon at Altman Siegel Gallery" by Aaron Harbour Editor's Picks
