Weekly Outlook
There is much to see this week, especially if you like goodies to go with your art. For an exhibition of paintings by Damien Hirst at Gagosian Gallery, they will also launch a custom iPad app to help you explore the collection of works displayed at all eleven of Gagosian's international locations. On a more local scale, the Museum of Public fiction curates a series of "secret restaurants" this week. The dinners will be hosted by guest chefs, with performances from artists such as Dawn Kasper, Karen Adelman, Butchy Fuego, Heather McIntosh, Kathryn Mccullough, Andrew Bulbrook and Eric Byers. They require an RSVP and will cost you a very worthwhile twenty dollars, so please email the gallery to request details. On Saturday, RAID Projects presents an exhibition of work by Dana Maiden that explores intersections of sculpture and photography, with the poetic title, Margins and Rocks. Nearby at Thomas Solomon Gallery, Berlin based artist Jonas Lipps will present some quietly profound works on paper. Happy New Year! Editor's Picks
