The summer time heat usually makes everything feel like it's in slow motion, but that's not the case for the South Florida art scene this week! Miami is bursting at the seams with new opening receptions, lectures, workshops, film festivals and community gallery walks. That's right! All of this is happening this week!

Some of this weeks highlights are:

*Wynwood's Monthly Gallery Walk is THIS SATURDAY! Mix, mingle and have a few complimentary cocktails while gallery hopping in this historic arts district.

 *The Colony Theatre and Fort Lauderdale's 'Cinema Paradiso' are showcasing the Brazilian Film Festival. Aug. 13th-21st [Miami] Aug. 14th-20th [FTL]

*Short on cash, but still wanna be museum bound? Try heading to the Wolfsonian Museum on a Friday. Every week, they are offering 'Free Fridays' this summer from 6-9pm!

*Running out of ideas for the kids this summer? From July to November, Bass Museum is running a themed workshop for children every sunday. 2-4pm
