Thursday night is the best night to go out this week. Westwood Gallery will show Will Insley's work in SoHo. In Chelsea the gallery scene is in full force with a few highlights including a performance at Postmasters and Nic Rad's "PeopleMatter Art Giveaway" at Rare Gallery.

More open studio events this week: Thursday, SVA MFA Open Studios and Lower East Printshop Open Studio; Friday LMCC Work Space Open Studios. Two lesser-known open studios: Saturday "4th Annual Mott Haven Open Studio" in the Bronx, and "Open Studio Weekend" at Screwball Spaces in Red Hook, Brooklyn.
