Weekly Outlook
A full week on the gallery scene spread throughout the city. Most notably this week the Bruce High Quality Foundation with Andres Levin presents "Field of Dreams," an all-day DIY World's Fair of the arts. Taking place in Prospect Park on Saturday (4pm into the evening), the event has the potential to bring together the energy of emerging and some established artists in a new and exciting way for the community. I've been trying out twitter more lately and taking quick shots of artwork as I go to openings. One of these photos was taken last week at Doosan Gallery where an interesting new show opened. The show features young Korean artists Jiyoon Koo, Jong Hyun Oh, and Gyungjin Shin. The show spans from sculpture to installation to painting, all with structural significance and intrigue. (images). Follow artcards_nyc on twitter for up-to-the-minute posts of images from art shows (and sometimes other interesting links). Finally, this week marks the launch of the Artcards Review Featured Artist series. Each week we will feature a new artist. This week Helen Wu explores the work of Kevin Cyr. Hope to see you out at the shows! Editor's Picks
