Weekly Outlook
The end of April coming closer, which brings us the MFA Open Studios events at both the School of Visual Arts and Hunter College; the Columbia Visual Arts MFA Thesis Show hosted at the Fisher Landau Center for Art in Queens, as well as a more intimate parallel show at Metro Deli in Williamsburg. Also, the Lower East Side Printshop will be opening a show of new works created by the recipients of their acclaimed residency program. Major shows include Gilbert & George's "London Pictures" which will opening and showing at Sonnabend and Lehmann Maupin's spaces simultaneously; the later will be hosting a book signing event this coming Saturday. Pier Paolo Calzolari, who will be taking both Marianne Boesky and The Pace Gallery as well. This is the first week of what promises to be an extremely exciting season of shows and events in New York.
