Weekly Outlook

This weekend marks the beginning of Bushwick Open Studios 2012 with dozens of special opening events and performances, all within a few blocks; the perfect chance to explore Brooklyn's newest art spaces starting Friday and continuing through Sunday. Jules de Balincourt's Bushwick Basel project caught our attention with a roster of solid galleries as participants such as Storefront Bushwick, Airplane, Norte Maar and Parallel Art Space; in the spirit of Bushwick's DIY attitude and alternative art spaces, expect the least conventional art fair.

The rest of the week remains fairly active with a good number of opening events in Chelsea on Thursday and a few in the LES on Wednesday and Friday. Some of the events we're looking forward to see include performances at Massimiliano Gioni and Maurizio Cattelan's Family Business, and the latest show at Foxy Production.
