Weekly Outlook
The week begins with plenty of exciting talks, lectures and book launches. Martha Rosler discusses projects, Kate Steciw talks about her practice and the Guggenheim continues its programming of lectures related to Rineke Dijkstra's mid-career survey. Summer of Hate launches at Artists Space, and Nighthawk has a full evening of events to celebrate the third issue of Incognitum Hactenus. By Thursday, Hito Steyerl's show opens at e-flux, which will be just the beginning of several events and panels in which she will be participating in the following couple of weeks at the CUNY Graduate Center, Light Industry, and more. Also worth mentioning, Grimm Schultz Gallery makes its debut this weekend with a solo show of Mark Flood's work, and Jonas Mekas's exhibition of photographs will be opening at James Fuentes. While in Williamsburg, Blonde Art Books has a fantastic show and program of performances at Present Company.
