Weekly Outlook

Looks to be turning into a rainy March here in the Bay Area - don't let that dissuade you from checking out cool art.

This Thursday, Artcards San Francisco is co-presenting with the San Francisco Arts Commission Gallery, "The Clog Celebration," a special event that updates the notion of the catalog by viewing its current show via this live presentation and blog posts.

Take shelter at the Friday Night at the de Young in Golden Gate Park, where among the evening's spread of events there will be a closing reception for Roberto Yamir Hernandez, resident artist this month. Hernandez will give you an opportunity to learn about the indigenous process of making colors from natural elements in his show, "CoLoRes OrGaniCos!" .

Before walking there, you might want to try crafting an umbrella, the DIY way, take a look at this novel creation, the homemade electric umbrella.

On Saturday, Public Glass, San Francisco's Center for Glass Art is featuring Viva Peredes in their hard to resist Hot Glass Cold Beer series, which includes glass art, glass demos, and cold beverages.

Make the rain work for you.

And, see you out there, especially on Thursday.
