Debt ceiling, unemployment, dead end ideology, a dearth of compromise: there's a lot to bemoan as we move through summer.  Thank goodness of for an incredible week of art.

Wednesday August 3rd the Andrea Schwartz Gallery is hosting 'One Night Stand' a group show featuring guest curator Danielle Steel.

Thursday August 4th is a day without end.  If you only make it out one day, Thursday is the day.  ArtPeople Gallery is featuring Exhibition by Sam Nejati. 111 Minna is hosting "Illusions of Grandeur", paintings by Nome Edonna and Lee Harvey Roswell - think Dada, surrealism, angst, humor and catharsis blended with the concoctions of erudite mixologists.

Patter Hellstrom's works of acrylic and polypropylene are featured in "Expressive Flow" at McLoughlin Gallery. Cafe Royale is hosting "200 yards", images of the neighborhood.  Experience the Tenderloin through the eyes of gifted local photographers.

Friday August 5th is a great follow-up to that magic Thursday.  "TANGIBLE REALITIES: Idealized Landscapes of Life Experience" coming to FivePoints Arthouse.  "First Person Plural" at MacArthur b arthur for an East Bay art jaunt.
