Weekly Outlook
We, the editors of Art Cards, have been in Los Angeles for a few days. Arriving on a Saturday, we made it to many of the city's museums (MOCA Grand and Geffen, LACMA, the Hammer) but none of the galleries or project spaces - places that we hope to see next time we make it down. I'll give a little run down about what I saw down south soon perhaps, but as for this week, well, I suggest checking out Richard T. Walker's performance as part of SFMOMA's Stage Presence Performance Series on Thursday. His video works are music video like productions in the great out doors, and he'll be performing an expanded version of his most recent piece. Also exciting is Mark Benson's solo show opening Saturday at Ever Gold. Benson has a curious strain of absurd humor running through his work which uses a wide variety of consumer products and materials to form odd little sculptural moments and I can't wait to see his new work.
