Artcards brings you to art December 11, 2012

Weekly Outlook

December has just begun, a full thirty one days and yet so many less than that due to the holidays which make this last month a bit of a crunch to get through. And one's mind turns from "what to do" to conversations about "what DID I do", best-ofs and top tens etc.

I'm busily digesting my experience at NADA in Miami while trying to start to build a picture of what exactly did happen this year. My/our best-of list soon, to give a peek, expect reference to the new Ratio 3, Stage Presence at SFMOMA, Dashiell Manley...

For this week,  I'd recommend not missing the new shows at Important Projects opening Friday (full disclosure: a space run by friends with work by friends) featuring Erin Jane Nelson and Mark Taylor, and while in the east bay, the "Points of Departure: Trivial Pursuit" talk at Royal Nonesuch looks to be a good.

NOTE
Coming soon (early 2013), a new series of short interviews co-presented by 9thfloorradio. Art Cards will host the text versions, while a podcast will be made for streaming. The first batch are in, and if all goes as planned, they will be weekly (fingers crossed)

AND A REMINDER: Ask us questions, demand more content, offer up your writing assistance etc. Email mrharbour at gmail dot com.
