Weekly Outlook
Next week there are countless openings as much of the art scene reawakens from its summer nap. A few early risers: Interface Gallery: Heightened Subjectivity, recent work by Teresa Baker, Claire Colette and Lana Williams. Each of these three artists creates abstract, formal, emotive work, with the brash, spontaneity of Williams and Baker set off by the precise graphite work of Colette. Savenack Street: Jennifer Locke: Dog Object, “2411 24th Street San Francisco, CA 94110 **Note: Gallery is open 24 hours a day. Just turn on the light switch to view. SOMArts: The Annual Murphy & Cadogan Contemporary Art Awards Exhibition. 28 grad students having receieved the titular award will be showing their work at this show, always a good peek into what is going on in the local grad programs. These shows are very hit and miss, but with much potential. Editor's Picks
