Artcards brings you to art February 11, 2014

Weekly Outlook

Its a little quieter this week, with less openings and a slew of artist talks/lectures. But last week... we saw a ton, some great, some passable, some disappointing.

First the talks: Laeh Glenn at CCA on Wednesday, The Optimists aka Laurie Reid, Maysha Mohamedi, Rebecca Morris, and Ruby Neri at Stephen Wirtz on Thursday, Sylvia Fein at Krowswork on Saturday all seem like good bets.

And, as for what we've seen, I highly suggest catching Mauricio Ancalmo at Ever Gold (a little less dark than usual... pastoral even), the excellent group show White Hot Lamp Black at Southern Exposure (its been a while since there was so sharp a group show at So Ex), and Trapper Keeper at City Limits (last weekend to catch this one).
