Lets chat a little about Royal Nonesuch Gallery in Oakland. Founded by Elizabeth Bernstein and Carrie Hott in 2009, Bernstein currently co-directs the space along with Carey Lin, Sussanah Magers, Zoë Telaporos and Hillary Wiedemann. All of these people are artists or curators (or both) and 2014 looks like it will be another exciting year of programing for this space. Upcoming programming includes a two person show with Erin Jane Nelson and Paulette Nichols, and solo shows from Carissa Potter Carlson, Sofia Córdova and Rhonda Holberton. This weekend Royal Nonesuch will be holding its major fundraising event. Instead of auctioning works of art, they will continue their tradition of auctioning experiences and skills. Saturday, 6-10pm you will have the chance to bid on such things as a personalized tour of the Oakland Museum of Art by Genevieve Quick, an 'olfactory tour' by Aurora Crispin, a custom artwork by Maggie Haas, a pinhole camera made from an object of the bidders choosing by Adam Donnelly, a lesson in riso printing with Luca Antonucci, and a party djed by your Art Cards editors Im and Harbour. There are 47 items in all, with bidding open online now. Editor's Picks
