Weekly Outlook
Just when the summer seemed to signal a slowdown, the art world bursts back into full bloom. You can see this with one look at our 'Editor's Picks'. Usually, maybe four shows stick out as must sees per week, but this week it is overflowing with great stuff to see, and it starts early. Wednesday there are two great shows, Arseniy Zhilyaev at Kadist SF and two openings at Important Projects. Full disclosure, I work closely with the Kadist Foundation, but I've peeked in and this show looks to be as exciting as its counterpart earlier this year in Paris, so its certainly worth a visit. But, across the bay in Oakland, Art Cards favorite Important Projects has shows with Zachary Davis and Puppies Puppies, both of whose work I like quite a bit. Thursday sees openings all through downtown and 49 Geary; though none stand out as must sees, it might pay to wander through it all. And Friday... Friday has five things I'd love to be at... and Saturday... But don't despair, don't let the wealth of choices keep you from seeing some of the amazing art this week. Editor's Picks
