Weekly Outlook
Its catch up week, as so few of us saw all of what we were excited about over this weekend. And there's more. Particularly exciting is the reopening of the CCA Wattis this evening. Their website redesign is excellent (and possibly frustrating, though for me frustrating in the best way), and the concept of 'in the gallery, in the residency, in our minds' is intriguing. Thursday's openings downtown will also be good, in particular Shannon Ebner's show at Altman Siegel and the work of Annabeth Rosen at Paule Anglim (which I peeked at: Rosen's new works are raw and excellent). I'm also excited about Friday's show at Moroso Projects. So far every show at this odd venue has been great, and this looks to be no exception. And opening its doors on Saturday, Shadow Office in Oakland, a "studio space, meeting space, working space and (tiny) exhibition space" which a group of artists fell into at a fortuitous time having been evicted from their former live/work space (to make room for condos). Saturday there will be food to eat and ceramics for sale, I can't wait to see what happens here. Editor's Picks
