Its not so much that I'm at a loss for words as, well, there's not much to say, which is nice. The art world is pretty much shut down in advance of the holidays.

I've already attended a number of Christmas parties, and gotten a little weepy watching the Charlie Brown Christmas special (strangely with one of my favorite scenes edited out?) ... whats left...

Well, it should be noted that the Berkeley Art Museum is closing in its current location, something I am in denial about because I love the old building, even if its a death trap in the case of 'the big one'. We've got until Sunday to visit the wonderful concrete behemoth; in 2015 we'll be down both the Berkeley Museum and SFMOMA (who's On the Go programming was a mixed bag) 

One of our favorite artists Jacqueline Gordon along with Zackery Belanger, a researcher in the field of integrating acoustic performance into architectural design, is trying to get some funds together to do a project in the old building examining one of the most beloved features of its architecture: the way sound activates/excites, bounces, and blurs in it. They have a modestly goal'd Kickstarter going which I highly recommend supporting. 

One last note. You may know that I co-run an art gallery in SF, Et al. And maybe you know that I, as a jack-of-all-trades-master-of-none, cook. I'm holding a series of dinners at the gallery in the coming weeks to support some projects and I'd love to see you at one. Go to the facebook event page, or email me for more info.
