Artcards brings you to art January 6, 2015

Weekly Outlook

NOTE: operatin' full steam on CURIOUSLY DIRECT now, so follow this there maybe, and subscribe to that weekly mailing :)

Its 2015, and those itching to look at some art will have their hands full with a jam-packed Thursday and Friday. Not that there won't be some goodies hiding in the crevices of those days (like Matt Keegan at Altman Siegel on Thursday), but I'm most excited about Sarah Thibault's solo show Staycation at Mark Wolfe Contemporary featuring her increasingly goofy paintings. I must confess I've not been to that gallery in well over a year, but I'm excited to grab some See's Candy and head upstairs on Friday. Also on Friday at Jessica Silverman will host an exhibition of Dashiell Manley's work; the last few times I've seen works by Manley have been wonderfully ambitious and strange so this should be good.

Right out of the gate we've got a great show up: Carrie Hott's solo exhibition at Interface in Oakland is even better than I thought it'd be. Read my brief review of it here, and don't miss it.
