If you are still revved up from Saturday night's many openings this week proves to be just as packed and traverse you to all parts of Los Angeles. Tuesday night Make your way to Mike Kelley at Gagosian Gallery in Beverly Hills for Kandor 10 / Extracurricular Activity Projective Reconstruction #34" Kandor 12 / Extracurricular Activity Projective Reconstruction #35. Wednesday night The political discussion at The Hammer with Tom Morello of Rage Against the Machine with Sam Durant at 7pm is not to be missed and lectures are always free. Friday night you will have to decide between Statler Waldorf, Molly Larkey's home which is always a treat to see art in an intimate space with a great view of Downtown LA with artists Alice Clements, Bari Ziperstein, Katie Herzog, Kelly Cline, Onya Hogan-Finley, Rafael Esparza, Rico Gatson and Zackary Drucker. Also on Friday, the Divine Violence project culmination which Arely Villegas of ART A L.A. MODE has contributed to at Human Resources, (please note they have a new temporary address) from 7-10pm with readings and performance and installation. Saturday night also shows promise: the joint opening of Durden and Ray Year one at Raid Projects; Commonspace showcasing more of Los Angeles' artist run spaces; and Gordon Wimemko, Jeff Foye, Nancy Popp "TBA: A Group Video Show in 7 Parts" at Kristi Engle Gallery in Highland Park.
