New York
Artcards brings you to art July 6, 2010

Weekly Outlook

Welcome back after the Fourth of July weekend. After a weekend lull in the city, I sense new energy this week, making it worthwhile to read through all of this week's listings.

There are many noteworthy events this week, but "Lush Life" stands out as it brings together nine galleries on the Lower East Side, which all have an opening reception this Thursday night. Curators Franklin Evans and Omar Lopez-Chahoud use Richard Price's 2008 novel as a starting point for the show: each gallery show's name is a chapter title in Richard Price's book. To help navigate the LES shows, try using the Artcards map feature, simply goto www.artcards.cc, select the shows you want to see and click print on the bottom-right side of the screen. A personalized map will print for you -- I use this every time I go out now.

New posts on Artcards Review:
- "Lookers at "Shred" Curated by Carlo McCormick" with opening reception photos by Helen Homan Wu.
- "The Unusual Subjects: Otto Dix at Neue Galerie" an excellent review Amanda Schmitt contributes

Also, find new posts, photos from openings, and interesting news on our twitter account artcards_nyc
