Weekly Outlook
Still super busy this week with the juggernaut art festival 2010 ZERO1 Biennial in San Jose spilling over into San Francisco venues. Highlights from last week: Chris Duncan at Baer Ridgeway, Mark Dion at Oakland Museum of California, Mel Bochner at Fraenkel Gallery, to name a few. See the Ongoing Shows section on our website or the Editor Picks for more current shows. Friday offers a good-looking show at Park Life imported from Southern California. Don't miss Val Britton and Zachary Royer Scholz at Recology (aka SF Dump), or the debut of "Radical Light" at the Berkeley Art Museum with a L@TE performance. SF Center for the Book hosts a printmaking festival early on Sunday; later in the day the Yerba Buena Center for the Arts delves into digital territory with a panel discussion titled "Collecting the Impossible," or you can check out a novel art project at The Headlands Center for the Arts titled "The Feral Share." New on on Artcards Review: - "Art Mingles With Fashion" photos from last week's shows by Helen Homan Wu. - "The Fecal Face Decade" Megan Seelie covers the 10th Anniversary of Fecal Face in SF. - "Zelvinas Kempinas: Ballroom" Howard Hurst reviews an excellent new show at Yvon Lambert.
