New York
Artcards brings you to art September 14, 2010

Weekly Outlook

Last week was excellent -- several shows lived up to the new season's hype and overall the art scene feels better than the last two years.

Highlights from last week
: Rob Pruitt at Gavin Brown's and Maccarone, Zelvinas Kempinas at Yvon Lambert, "Material Issue and Other Matter" at CANADA, Allan McCollum & Keith at Friedrich Petzel Gallery, and Joshua Marsh at Jeff Bailey Gallery.

With nearly 200 openings, this week will be a blast: follow artcards_nyc on twitter for pictures and live updates from the shows.

Tonight designer Marc Newson opens at Gagosian's space on 21st street (nearby two shows open at David Zwirner), and downtown the Swiss Institute and Storefront for Art and Architecture look promising as well.

Thursday Chelsea shines along with the Lower East Side. Friday the spotlight moves to Williamsburg and Chelsea.

New on on Artcards Review:
- "Art Mingles With Fashion" photos from last week's shows by Helen Homan Wu.
- "The Fecal Face Decade" Megan Seelie covers the 10th Anniversary of Fecal Face in SF.
- "Zelvinas Kempinas: Ballroom" Howard Hurst reviews an excellent new show at Yvon Lambert.

Hope to see you out there again this week!
